How to use

Uncoil the DEFA eConnect cable and connect the Type 2 plug to the vehicle inlet and the other end to the charging point. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they engage. During charging, the retractable cap remains attached and hangs upside down to protect the connector from dirt and water. After charging, disconnect the plug from the vehicle first, then from the charge point, coil the cable and secure it with the included velcro strap or store it in an appropriate bag or docking station if available.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled and dry when not in use. Use the supplied velcro strap or a dedicated cable bag or lockable docking station (available separately) to protect the cable and connector from theft and contamination. Regularly inspect connectors and cable sheath for damage and avoid exposing the cable to sharp edges or chemicals.
