How to use

Install the DGS-1520-52/E in a standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting brackets. Connect access switches and edge devices to the Gigabit ports and use the four 10G ports for uplink to core switches or for stacking multiple DGS-1520 units. For PoE models, connect PoE-capable devices (such as Wi‑Fi 6 access points) to the designated multi-gig ports. Use the management port, web GUI or D-Link Network Assistant for initial configuration, and configure Zero Touch Provisioning centrally when deploying across multiple sites.

Recommendations

For resilient deployments, implement stacking for high-density aggregation and, where available, pair non-PoE models with the DPS-520 redundant power supply for power redundancy. Use D-View 7 for centralized monitoring in larger or more complex environments, and reserve the 10G ports for server/storage uplinks or stacking to maximise throughput and simplify cabling.
