CPU Cooling Fan Lenovo 5F10S73402 — replacement cooling fan for Lenovo laptops

Replacement CPU cooling fan Lenovo 5F10S73402 is designed for use in compatible Lenovo laptops to provide active cooling for the processor. This fan restores airflow inside the laptop chassis, helps dissipate heat generated by the CPU during normal operation, and supports stable performance under sustained workloads. It is intended for repair or upgrade purposes when the original cooling module is noisy, failing, or insufficient.

Advantages

The replacement fan offers direct-fit compatibility with specific Lenovo laptop models and is manufactured to meet the thermal management needs of the original design. It reduces operating temperatures, helps prevent thermal throttling, and can lower fan noise compared with a damaged or degraded unit. Installation restores intended cooling efficiency and contributes to longer component lifespan when used as part of proper maintenance.

Suitable for

• Repairing laptops with a malfunctioning or noisy CPU fan
• Replacing a failed cooling fan after overheating or bearing wear
• Restoring factory-level cooling performance during laptop servicing
• Upgrading a degraded cooling assembly to recover cooling efficiency

Key specifications

• Function: active CPU cooling fan for laptop use
• Form factor: compact blower/fan assembly designed for internal laptop installation
• Connector type: internal multi-pin power connector compatible with designated Lenovo motherboards
• Fan bearing: designed for continuous operation typical of laptop cooling fans
• Operation: provides targeted airflow to processor heatsink and ventilation channels

How to use

Power down the laptop, disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery if reachable. Open the laptop chassis following the manufacturer service manual to access the cooling assembly. Remove any retaining screws and the old fan, disconnecting its power connector from the motherboard. Install the replacement fan in the same orientation, secure it with screws, reconnect the power cable, and reassemble the laptop. After reassembly, power on the laptop and verify fan operation and system temperatures in BIOS or with monitoring software.

Recommendations

Before purchasing, verify physical compatibility with your specific Lenovo laptop model and consult the service manual or a technician if unsure. Handle the fan carefully to avoid damaging the connector or fan blades, and consider cleaning heatsinks and vents while the unit is open to maximize cooling performance.
