SFP transceiver module Cambium Networks SFP-10G-SR

The Cambium Networks SFP-10G-SR is an SFP+ fiber optic transceiver module designed for short-range 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. It converts 10Gbit/s serial PECL/CML electrical data to 850 nm serial optical data compliant with the 10GBASE-SR standard on transmission, and converts received 10Gbit/s serial optical data back to serial PECL/CML electrical data on reception. The module follows SFI electrical specifications with 100 Ω differential transmitter input and receiver output impedance, internal AC coupling on data lines, and built-in differential termination to reduce common-mode conversion and EMI. It is intended for use over improved FR4 up to about 200 mm or standard FR4 up to about 150 mm with a single connector.

How to use

Insert the SFP+ transceiver into a compatible SFP+ port on the host device following the host manufacturer's insertion/removal procedure. Ensure TX_Disable, TX_Fault and Rx_LOS pins are connected according to the host design: TX_Fault and Rx_LOS are open-drain/open-collector outputs and must be pulled up to Vcc_Host with 4.7–10 kΩ resistors (or actively terminated), while TX_Disable is an input that should be pulled up to VccT with a 4.7–10 kΩ resistor; driving TX_Disable high or leaving it open disables the transmitter, driving it low enables normal operation. Provide recommended power supply filtering for both transmitter and receiver circuits.
