The DeWALT DCS691N-XJ circular saw is a compact cordless saw designed for cutting sheet materials such as OSB, flooring and cement board (PCD blade required for cement board), as well as cutting access panels, roof battens and other on-site tasks. How to use

Fit the appropriate 115 mm blade and ensure the battery is charged and correctly inserted. Set the required cutting depth and bevel angle using the tool-free adjustment levers and confirm the scale reading. Secure the workpiece and use the built-in dust blower to keep the cut line clear while cutting. Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the cut, keeping steady, even feed pressure. After cutting, engage the electronic brake if needed and wait for the blade to stop before setting the tool down.

Recommendations

Use a PCD blade when cutting cement board. Always wear appropriate eye, hearing and dust protection. For best results on finish cuts, use a fine-tooth blade and steady feed; for demolition or faster cuts, use the supplied 24T TCT blade. Regularly clean the dust port and check blade condition before use.
