The Hama Profi 67 mm circular polarising camera filter reduces reflections, increases color saturation and improves image contrast. Made from high-quality lens glass with a multi-layer NMC16 (Multi Resistant Coating) and nano-coating, it also serves as front lens protection while remaining ultra-thin and lightweight. The filter is mounted in an ultra-flat rotary mount that allows precise adjustment for optimal polarising effect and minimises added bulk on the lens.

Advantages

The filter removes non-metallic reflections from water, glass and plastic, enhances contrast and depth—deepening skies and clarifying colours—and produces effects that cannot be replicated reliably in post-processing. Both sides are vapour-deposited with eight-layer anti-reflective coatings to preserve light transmission and prevent ghosting and double images. A nano lotus coating repels water, oil and dirt and makes cleaning easier, while the black anodised metal mount with blackened inner edges and edge sealant prevents internal reflections and contamination. The mount keeps its shape under temperature changes and the filter also functions as lens protection.

How to use

Attach the filter to the front thread of a 67 mm lens and rotate the outer ring while observing the effect in the viewfinder or on the camera screen until the desired reduction of reflections and enhancement of colour and contrast is achieved. For maximum polarising effect, position the camera so the reflecting surface is at an angle of about 30–40° to the lens. Because the filter slightly darkens the image, check exposure and adjust shutter speed or ISO if necessary.

Recommendations

Clean the filter with a soft microfiber cloth and, if needed, use lens cleaning solution to maintain the nano-coating. Store the filter in the supplied box when not in use to protect the coatings and mount. Avoid contact with abrasive materials; the filter is scratch-resistant but care prolongs its service life.
