Chainsaw DeWALT DCM565N-XJ — cordless battery-powered, 30 cm bar, 5 Ah battery capacity, 0.14 L oil tank

The DeWALT DCM565N-XJ chainsaw is a battery-powered power saw designed for cutting tasks that require mobility and manageable weight. It is equipped with a 30 cm cutting bar and a chain engineered to run at 7.68 m/s, enabling steady cutting performance for pruning, firewood preparation and general property maintenance. The saw is compatible with a 5 Ah battery supply and has a compact, lightweight construction of approximately 3.5 kg, making it suitable for extended use without excessive fatigue. Measured vibration emission is 3.5 m/s² and the sound pressure level during operation is 76.5 dB, data useful for planning safe and comfortable work sessions.

Advantages

The DeWALT DCM565N-XJ combines portable cordless operation with a mid-length 30 cm bar that balances reach and control. Low overall weight improves maneuverability for overhead or extended cutting, while the specified chain speed supports efficient feed through softwood and small-to-medium hardwood sections. Measured vibration and sound levels provide objective parameters to assess operator comfort and the need for protective equipment. The 5 Ah battery capacity offers a practical runtime profile for typical garden and light professional tasks without the restrictions of a power cord.

Suitable for

• Pruning and trimming trees and shrubs around residential properties
• Cutting firewood and small logs for storage and heating
• Light to medium-duty property maintenance and landscaping
• Jobs requiring portable, cordless cutting where electrical outlets are unavailable

Key specifications

• Cutting bar length: 30 cm
• Chain speed: 7.68 m/s
• Recommended battery capacity: 5 Ah
• Measured vibration emission: 3.5 m/s²
• Sound pressure level: 76.5 dB
• Weight (approx.): 3.5 kg

How to use

Before starting, ensure the battery is charged and correctly inserted according to the battery interface on the saw. Verify chain tension and lubrication level; adjust tension when the chain is cold and the saw is switched off. Hold the saw with both hands, placing one hand on the front handle and the other on the rear handle, and maintain a stable stance. Start the unit following the manufacturer's switch procedure, allow the chain to reach full speed, then engage the workpiece with steady, controlled feed pressure. Avoid forcing the saw through the cut; let the chain do the work. After use, remove the battery, clean sawdust from the guide bar and sprocket area, check chain condition, and store the tool in a dry place.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves and protective footwear. For extended cutting tasks, rotate operators or plan rest breaks to limit cumulative vibration exposure. Match chain type and cutting technique to the wood species and conditions, and follow routine maintenance to ensure consistent cutting performance and safe operation.
