This cable connector by Delock with two RJ45 connectors allows you to connect or extend network cables and is suitable for outdoor use, for example in the garden. The compact black design provides a discreet connection solution for networking applications without additional adapters.

Advantages

The connector is composed of five plastic parts (one RJ45 coupler, two housing halves and two screw caps) and four sealing rings. A sealing ring at the housing feed-through hole seals between the cable and the housing and the housing can be opened at the side to insert the cable. Each screw thread on the RJ45 coupler is protected by a silicone sealing ring, providing improved protection against ingress.

How to use

Open the housing at the side, insert the network cables into the RJ45 coupler, position the sealing ring around the cable at the feed-through and close the housing. Screw on the caps over the coupler threads ensuring the silicone sealing rings are seated correctly to achieve the IP68 seal. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and tightened to maintain the waterproof protection.

Recommendations

Use the connector only with properly terminated RJ45 cables. For long-term outdoor installations check seals periodically and avoid placing the connector in areas with continuous water submersion beyond brief exposure, despite its IP68 rating.
