BlueOptics SFP2121BU3MK is a 3 meter simplex fiber optic patch cord with LC/PC to LC/PC connectors, single-mode G.657.A1 (E9/125 µm) fiber and a yellow LSZH jacket. It is designed for high-quality transmission of 1310 nm and 1550 nm signals and is suitable for interconnecting patch panels, optical transceivers and other devices in data centers and high-speed networks.

Advantages

The cable uses G.657.A1 single-mode fiber with low attenuation (0.4 dB/km) and high return loss; connector endface polishing can be supplied as UPC or 8° APC to further optimise return loss. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and eliminates halogen in case of fire. Connectors use zirconia ceramic ferrules and branded components to ensure long life and consistent mechanical performance.

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before mating and clean if necessary. Align the LC connector with the device port and insert until it clicks; avoid excessive bending of the fiber and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for G.657.A1 fibres. For removal, depress the latch and pull straight out. Use appropriate strain relief and cable routing in patch panels or racks to prevent damage.

Recommendations

Keep connectors capped when not in use, use approved fibre cleaning tools for endface maintenance, and request custom lengths if a non-standard run is required. A measurement protocol with insertion loss and return loss values is included with each cable.
