BlueOptics QSFP Transceiver A3NY-BO is a hot-pluggable 40GBASE-LR4 module designed for singlemode fiber links up to 10 km. The module uses a QSFP form factor and an LC-duplex interface with four WDM channels to provide high-density 40 Gbps connectivity for data center aggregation, enterprise uplinks and core network connections. The transceiver is specified to operate in an ambient temperature range from 0 to 70°C and is intended for installation in compatible QSFP ports on switches, routers and transceivers cages.

Advantages

The module delivers 40 Gbps throughput over singlemode fiber using LR4 wavelength-division multiplexing, allowing long-reach connections with a single LC-duplex interface. Its QSFP form factor supports high port density and easy hot-swap replacement without powering down equipment. The transceiver is factory-aligned for interoperability with standard 40GBASE-LR4 systems and is rated for operation in typical data center and enterprise temperature ranges.

How to use

Insert the QSFP transceiver into a compatible QSFP port until it latches, then connect LC-duplex singlemode patch cables to the appropriate transmit and receive ports. Ensure the connected switch or router port is configured for 40GBASE-LR4 operation and that the fiber polarity and LC connectors match the remote device. After physical installation, verify link status and diagnostics via the host device’s management interface. Handle the module and fiber connectors with clean hands or gloves and keep protective caps on connectors when not in use.
