Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

The Bresser Optics Hunter 16 x 50 binoculars offer 16x magnification and 50 mm objective lenses in a compact, durable housing. Equipped with BK-7 prisms and fully coated optics, they deliver bright images with true color reproduction. The binoculars include dioptre compensation and rubber eyecups suitable for spectacle wearers; a tripod thread allows attachment to a photo tripod for prolonged observation. Weighing 735 g and finished in black, the Hunter 16x50 is designed for outdoor use such as birdwatching, hiking and other activities requiring high magnification.

Advantages

Fully coated optics and BK-7 prisms improve light transmission and color fidelity. High 16x magnification combined with 50 mm objectives provides detailed, bright views at distance. The compact, rugged body balances portability and stability, while dioptre adjustment and rubber eyecups increase comfort for users with spectacles. A tripod thread adds versatility for steadier observation or extended sessions.

Suitable for

  • Birdwatching and wildlife observation
  • Hiking and outdoor excursions
  • Long-distance viewing and surveillance

Key specifications

  • Magnification: 16x
  • Objective diameter: 50 mm
  • Prism type: BK-7
  • Weight: 0.735 kg
  • Colour: Black
  • Features: Fully coated optics, dioptre compensation, rubber eyecups, tripod thread

How to use

Hold the binoculars with both hands and adjust the central focus wheel until the image is sharp. Use the dioptre compensation ring to correct for differences between your eyes if necessary. Fold down or adjust the rubber eyecups for comfortable viewing with or without spectacles. For prolonged observation or higher stability at 16x magnification, mount the binoculars on a compatible photo tripod via the tripod thread.

Recommendations

For best results in low light, allow your eyes a few minutes to adapt and keep the objective lenses clean using a soft brush or lens cloth. When using a tripod, ensure secure attachment and balance to prevent vibrations at high magnification.
