Back Protector Cairn Pro Impakt D3O 102 L - CE-certified D3O impact foam, size L

The Cairn Pro Impakt D3O 102 L is a CE-certified back protector that uses D3O impact-absorbing foam to reduce force transmission to the spine during impacts. Designed for a size L fit, this protector offers continuous spinal coverage with a flexible construction that adapts to body movement. It is intended for outdoor sports and winter activities where fall protection and shock dispersion are required, combining certified safety performance with a slim profile for compatibility with jackets and outerwear.

Advantages

The D3O foam in the Cairn Pro Impakt D3O 102 L remains flexible during normal movement and stiffens on impact to absorb and dissipate energy, lowering the risk of injury. The design provides broad spinal protection while preserving mobility, and the slim, lightweight construction reduces bulk under clothing. Being CE-certified ensures the protector meets established safety standards for impact protection, and the ergonomic shape improves comfort during extended wear.

How to use

Wear the Cairn Pro Impakt D3O 102 L under or over a jacket as recommended by the garment design, ensuring the protector sits centrally along the spine from the upper back to the lower thoracic region. Adjust any straps or attachment points so the protector remains stable during movement but does not restrict breathing or arm motion. Inspect the protector before each use for signs of damage and replace it if the D3O foam shows cracks, deformation, or reduced performance following a significant impact.

Recommendations

For optimal protection, pair the back protector with appropriate outerwear and a properly fitted helmet. Follow the manufacturer's care instructions: avoid machine washing if specified, use mild soap and hand wash if needed, and store the protector flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and chemicals that could degrade the foam.
