Aluminum external AXAGON EEM2-SC RIBBED box with USB 10Gbps interface designed for M.2 NVMe SSDs. A stable and fast connection is ensured by a reversible USB-C connector. In the package you will find a USB-C -> USB-C cable to connect the box to your computer.

Thanks to the USB 10Gbps interface, the transmission rate is up to 10 Gb/s. The external M.2 box supports modern features such as UASP, TRIM and enables reading S.M.A.R.T. disk status monitoring information.

The advantage of the box is the attachment of four different lengths of SSD cards - 30, 42, 60 and 80 mm. M.2 drives can be single-sided or double-sided. The box does not limit the capacity of inserted SSD.

Screwless opening makes installation and removal of the M.2 SSD drive easier. This makes disk replacement quick and easy, significantly speeding up data migration, testing, cloning, and storage expansion.

The ribbed design and aluminum casing of the box ensure excellent cooling of the inserted M.2 SSD drive. This extends its service life and also prevents the disk from slowing down, so-called „Thermal Throttling“. The outer metal casing is black and prevents unwanted fingerprints.
By inserting the M.2 SSD in the box, you will easily create fast compact and universal external disk. The box can be used with computers and notebooks, as well as with mobile phones and tablets.

How to use

Open the screwless enclosure, insert a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD in the M key slot, secure it using the provided support for the required card length (2230/2242/2260/2280) and close the case. Connect the enclosure to a computer or compatible device using the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable. The device supports hot-plugging and is recognized as an external drive under supported operating systems; in many cases it will be ready for immediate use via plug and play. When using with older systems, ensure UASP and TRIM support for best performance and check for any vendor drivers if required.

Recommendations

Place the enclosure on a stable, well-ventilated surface during heavy or prolonged transfers to allow effective heat dissipation through the aluminium housing. Avoid covering the ribbed surface and ensure the SSD is properly seated and the thermal pad contacts the drive for optimal cooling and longevity.
