AXAGON CLR-M2XL ALU passive heatsink for extreme cooling of high performance M.2 SSDs, compatible with 22 x 80 mm (2280) single-sided and double-sided drives. The ribbed aluminum XL heatsink with metal bracket improves heat dissipation, lowering SSD temperature and helping prevent thermal throttling to maintain sustained performance.

Advantages

The large 32 mm high ribbed aluminum body and metal frame provide an extensive cooling surface that removes heat from both sides of the M.2 disk. Supplied thermally conductive pads allow installation on SSDs of different thicknesses. The design is compatible with M.2 NVMe and SATA (AHCI) drives and can be mounted on M.2 AXAGON adapters or directly into M.2 (NGFF) motherboard slots.

How to use

Place the thermally conductive pads on the M.2 SSD surfaces according to disk thickness, attach the heatsink over the SSD and secure it with the provided metal bracket and mounting screws. Install the assembled unit into the M.2 slot on the motherboard or into a compatible AXAGON adapter. Ensure firm but not excessive pressure to maintain good thermal contact without damaging the drive.
