AXAGON CLR-M2 passive cooler is designed to improve thermal management of high-performance M.2 SSDs. The aluminium finned heatsink fits M.2 cards sized 22 x 80 mm and uses thermally conductive pads to accommodate both one-sided and double-sided modules. Its compact dimensions and lightweight construction make it compatible with M.2 slots on motherboards as well as AXAGON M.2 adapters.

Advantages

The 8 mm aluminium finned body helps dissipate heat generated by the SSD, reducing operating temperature by up to 25 °C under suitable conditions. Three supplied thermal pads with different thicknesses can be combined to match various module heights, enabling reliable contact for single- and double-sided M.2 drives. The cooler is compact (76 x 24 x 10 mm) and light (21 g), allowing easy installation in constrained spaces.

How to use

Choose appropriate combination of the supplied thermal pads to match the height of your M.2 SSD (single- or double-sided). Place the thermal pad(s) on the module surface, align and press the aluminium cooler onto the SSD so the pads ensure full contact. Secure the cooler using the provided mounting material and screwdriver. Install the M.2 module with the attached cooler into the motherboard slot or AXAGON adapter following the standard M.2 installation procedure.

Recommendations

Ensure the thermal pads make full contact with the SSD surface and the cooler. Do not overtighten mounting screws. For best results, use in cases or systems with at least some airflow; passive cooling performance depends on ambient airflow and load.
