The external network card AXAGON ADE-AR easily converts USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port to Gigabit Ethernet port. USB network adapter compatible with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s expands the computer with a fast and stable network connection, adds the missing RJ-45 network connector, adds another network card, or replaces the original non-functional network connection.

In addition to gigabit throughput, the LAN adapter offers a wide range of features such as. IPv4/IPv6 checksum to reduce CPU load by checksums, the crossover detection and auto-correction, TCP large send offload, support for various modes of the Wake-on-LAN feature, the work with VLAN and advanced Power Management features.

How to use

Plug the fixed USB-A connector into a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 1 / USB 3.0 port on the host device. Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port. On supported versions of Windows (8.1 and newer), macOS, Linux and Chrome OS the adapter is typically installed automatically; if drivers are required, follow the operating system prompts or use the provided installation method. No external power is necessary because the adapter is bus-powered.

Recommendations

For maximum throughput use a USB 3.0/3.2 Gen 1 port and a Cat5e or better Ethernet cable. If the host uses USB 2.0, expected network speeds will be limited by the USB interface. Keep the adapter and cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources to maintain stable network performance.
