How to use

Connect the KA7970 CPU module to the computer’s USB and VGA ports, then plug the Cat5 end into the matching port on the ATEN KVM switch. Ensure the cable is fully inserted and secure at both ends. Once connected, the keyboard and mouse emulation takes effect automatically, and the KVM switch will recognize the computer. The cable supports hot-plugging, so computers can be connected or removed while the switch remains powered.

Recommendations

For optimal video quality maintain the 4.5 m cable length and use Cat5e/6 cabling in good condition; note that higher resolutions such as 1680 × 1050 (reduced blanking) and 1920 × 1200 (reduced blanking) are not supported by KA7xxxx KVM adapter cables.
