The Aqua-Computer 33706 radiator block is a compact, medium-sized component for PC liquid cooling loops. Constructed from aluminium, copper and stainless steel with a grey and silver finish, it is designed to dissipate heat from coolant in custom water-cooling systems. This radiator belongs to the airplex radical series and retains the series' welded-free internal construction so the coolant only contacts seals, Delrin, copper and stainless steel. The frame is stainless steel with a dark grey chromated rear surface and external dimensions of 320 × 140 × 73 mm, offering a space-efficient solution with substantial fin area for effective heat transfer.

Advantages

The radiator's welded-free build prevents welding residues inside the channels and ensures that coolant contacts only selected materials, improving reliability of the cooling loop. Threaded inserts made from nickel-plated brass simplify fan alignment and enable deeper threads to reduce the risk of damaging fins with overly long screws. Slide rails on both sides allow flexible placement of the supplied inserts and offer the option to install them upside-down for a near-flat outer surface when fans are not used. The stainless steel frame and chromated rear combine robustness with a restrained visual appearance suitable for many system builds.

Suitable for

  • Custom PC water-cooling loops in compact or mid-size cases
  • Cooling single or multiple components where a medium radiator is required
  • Builds that prioritize welded-free coolant channels and material compatibility
  • Systems where simple fan alignment and secure mounting are desired

Key specifications

  • Construction materials: aluminium, copper, stainless steel (internal coolant contact limited to seals, Delrin, copper and stainless steel)
  • External dimensions: 320 × 140 × 73 mm
  • Finish: grey and silver with dark grey chromated rear
  • Series: airplex radical (weld-free internal channels)
  • Mounting features: nickel-plated brass threaded inserts, slide rails on both sides, lock notches for inserts

How to use

Install the radiator into the case using the threaded inserts to align fans easily; the inserts protrude into fan mounting holes to guide screws and create deeper threads. If installing without fans, reverse the inserts to achieve a nearly flush surface against the case. Connect appropriate inlet and outlet fittings for your loop, ensure all sealing surfaces and connections are tightened according to the fitting manufacturer's recommendations, and perform leak testing before powering the system. Position the radiator to optimize airflow through the fin area and maintain clearance from other components.

Recommendations

Use screws of appropriate length to avoid contact with fins or internal tubes; take advantage of the deeper threaded inserts to position screws safely. When assembling, perform a full leak test and use coolant compatible with copper, Delrin and stainless steel. If additional threaded inserts are required for a specific mounting arrangement, obtain them separately to match the slide rail system.
