Aqua-Computer upgrade kit LGA 1700 with backplate for cuplex kryos PRO/XT/HF/Delrin (MPN 21882)

This upgrade kit from Aqua-Computer adapts cuplex kryos water blocks (PRO, XT, HF and Delrin variants) for use with Intel LGA 1700 sockets. The kit contains a dedicated backplate and the mounting hardware required to replace the existing retention on compatible cuplex kryos models, providing correct alignment and secure CPU contact after conversion to LGA 1700 systems.

Advantages

The kit provides a purpose-built backplate and compatible fasteners engineered for reliable retention and even pressure distribution. Designed specifically for cuplex kryos variants, it preserves the original cooler’s thermal interface alignment while ensuring mechanical compatibility with Intel LGA 1700. Using the kit avoids the need to purchase a new water block by enabling an accurate and secure upgrade path.

Suitable for

• Converting cuplex kryos PRO water blocks to Intel LGA 1700
• Converting cuplex kryos XT water blocks to Intel LGA 1700
• Converting cuplex kryos HF water blocks to Intel LGA 1700
• Converting cuplex kryos Delrin water blocks to Intel LGA 1700
• Systems requiring retained compatibility of existing water blocks with new LGA 1700 CPUs

Key specifications

• Backplate designed for Intel LGA 1700 socket geometry
• Mounting hardware set for secure retention and uniform pressure
• Compatibility with cuplex kryos PRO, XT, HF and Delrin variants
• Metal and fastener finish suitable for standard PC cooling assemblies
• Intended to replace original mounting components on compatible water blocks

How to use

Remove the existing mounting hardware from the compatible cuplex kryos water block and fit the included backplate to the motherboard following the orientation for LGA 1700. Install the water block onto the CPU and secure it with the supplied fasteners, ensuring even torque and correct alignment. Confirm that the block makes full contact with the CPU IHS and that no undue stress is placed on surrounding components. Recheck thermal interface application and system plumbing after installation.

Recommendations

Use the kit only with cuplex kryos variants listed as compatible. Apply thermal interface material according to the water block manufacturer’s guidance and tighten fasteners evenly in alternating sequence to achieve uniform mounting pressure. Inspect the backplate and mounting screws periodically after initial use to ensure retention remains secure.
