Analogue synthesiser ik multimedia Uno Synth Pro X — 8-voice polyphony, desktop module

The ik multimedia Uno Synth Pro X is an analogue synthesiser designed as a compact desktop module with 8-voice polyphony. Built for studio and live use, it offers hands-on control for sound design, layering and immediate performance adjustments. The unit focuses on producing rich analogue tones while providing a workflow suitable for producers, performers and sound designers who need multi-voice capability in a desktop form factor.

Advantages

The Uno Synth Pro X combines analogue signal paths and multi-voice operation to allow chordal playing and complex textures from a single desktop instrument. Its compact module format preserves workspace while giving direct access to parameters for fast edits. The instrument’s 8-voice polyphony expands its sonic range compared with single-voice analogues, supporting simultaneous layers and thicker sounds for both studio arrangements and live performance.

Suitable for

• Music producers creating layered analogue textures and chordal parts
• Live performers needing portable, immediate synthesis control on stage
• Sound designers crafting pads, leads and evolving timbres
• Home and project studios requiring compact analogue polyphony

Key specifications

• Analogue synthesis architecture
• 8-voice polyphony for simultaneous notes and layers
• Desktop module form factor for compact studio placement
• Hands-on control surface for immediate parameter adjustment

How to use

Place the Uno Synth Pro X on a desk or rack surface and connect power and audio outputs to your monitoring system or mixer. Use the front-panel controls to select presets, shape oscillators, modify filters and apply modulation in real time. For polyphonic passages, play chords from an external MIDI keyboard or trigger notes via a DAW; the 8-voice architecture will allocate voices automatically. Adjust levels and routing as required in your signal chain and save user configurations according to the device’s panel workflow.

Recommendations

For studio work, route the audio into a multitrack interface to record individual takes and process them with external effects. On stage, keep front-panel access clear for quick parameter changes and use MIDI program changes from a controller for fast patch selection. Regularly back up your user patches if the instrument supports patch management to preserve custom sounds.
