Air purifier HoMedics TotalClean – 5-in-1, UV-C Plus, for medium-sized rooms (AP-T45WT-EU)

The HoMedics AP-T45WT-EU is a 5-in-1 air purifier engineered for medium-sized rooms. It combines a multi-stage filtration system — including a pre-filter, HEPA filtration, activated carbon and an ultraviolet (UV-C) light — with adjustable fan speeds to reduce airborne particles, odors and some microbes. The unit is designed for everyday indoor use where quieter operation and straightforward controls are required for routine air-quality maintenance.

Advantages

The air purifier delivers layered filtration that targets a range of contaminants: larger particles are captured by the pre-filter, fine particles and common allergens are removed by the HEPA stage, and gases and odors are reduced by the activated carbon. The UV-C element provides an additional level of microbial control. Multiple fan speed settings allow balancing between noise level and purification rate, and the compact design makes it suitable for placement in living rooms, bedrooms or home offices.

Suitable for

• Medium-sized living rooms and bedrooms
• Home offices and study spaces
• Homes with mild allergy or odor concerns
• Rooms where quieter air purification is preferred

Key specifications

• Filtration stages: pre-filter, HEPA filter, activated carbon, UV-C light, and an additional internal filter layer
• Coverage: designed for medium room sizes
• Fan speeds: multiple adjustable settings for different air-exchange rates and noise levels
• Noise: low-noise operation mode suitable for nighttime use
• Controls: simple manual controls for speed and mode selection
• Design: compact footprint for tabletop or floor placement

How to use

Place the HoMedics AP-T45WT-EU on a stable, level surface with at least a few dozen centimetres of clearance around air intake and outlet vents. Select an appropriate fan speed based on room size and desired noise level, then allow the unit to run continuously for the best air-quality improvement. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for filter and UV-C module maintenance intervals and replace filters as indicated to maintain performance. Unplug the device before performing any maintenance.

Recommendations

Operate the purifier with doors and windows closed for faster air turnover in the targeted room, and schedule regular filter checks. In environments with increased pollutants, use higher fan settings temporarily. For allergen-sensitive users, run the unit continuously at a moderate speed to reduce airborne particles over time.
