Why buy ACT from DistriNode?
Patch Cable Depth
With over 1,600 Ethernet patch cable SKUs — CAT5e through CAT6A, every colour and length — ACT covers every structured-cabling scenario from desktop to data centre.
Long-Haul Fibre Expertise
ACT's pre-terminated fibre trunks span OM3, OM4, and OS2 singlemode in indoor/outdoor rated jackets with LC, SC, and MPO connectors — tested and ready to deploy.
CPR-Compliant Cable Reels
Bulk cable runs like the B2ca-rated CAT6A F/UTP 500m reel meet EU Construction Products Regulation requirements for fire-safe building installations.
One Supplier for Every Cable
From R3 patch cables to R828 industrial or AV extension sets, ACT's consistent quality across copper, fibre, USB, HDMI, and power means fewer suppliers to manage.

Pro tip: For new building runs always choose ACT's CPR-rated bulk reels (B2ca or Dca) — they satisfy fire-safety regulations and insurance requirements without needing a separate compliance order.
ACT Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ACT OM3, OM4, and OS2 fibre cables?
OM3 and OM4 are multimode fibres for short to medium runs (up to ~300m and ~400m respectively at 10G); OM4 supports higher bandwidth density. OS2 is singlemode and is designed for long-haul runs up to tens of kilometres — ACT offers all three in indoor/outdoor-rated jackets with LC, SC, or MPO connectors.
Are ACT CAT6A cables suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes. ACT CAT6A F/UTP cables are rated to 500 MHz and fully support 10GBASE-T up to 100 metres. The solid-core AWG 23 construction and foil shielding eliminate alien crosstalk — essential for dense cable trays in server rooms.
What does the CPR B2ca rating on ACT bulk cable mean for installations?
The EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) B2ca rating indicates limited flame spread, limited heat release, and very low smoke toxicity. Installing CPR-rated cable in commercial buildings is mandatory in many EU and SA contexts and is increasingly required by insurers and building inspectors.
