How to use

Install the ZT421 on a stable surface and connect power and your chosen data interface (Ethernet, USB, serial or Bluetooth). Load media and ribbon using the color-coded side-loading path for correct alignment. Use the 4.3-inch touchscreen to configure print settings such as print speed, darkness and media type. For integration, deploy Zebra’s Print DNA utilities and Link-OS tools to manage drivers, firmware and network settings. If required, install factory- or field-available options (for example RFID modules or additional interface cards) following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommendations

To maintain reliable operation, use media and ribbons that meet Zebra specifications, keep the print head and platen clean, and update firmware via Zebra’s management tools. For RFID-equipped units, follow tag and encoding guidelines for the specific UHF or on-metal tags in your application.
