XLR Patch Cable Snake Behringer GMX-300 — 8 XLR Female to 8 XLR Male, 3 m

The Behringer GMX-300 is an 8-channel multitrack microphone cable assembly providing eight XLR female to XLR male connections in a single 3 meter harness. Designed for studio and live audio applications, this cable pack consolidates multiple microphone or line-level runs into a tidy, color-coded loom that simplifies setup and cable management on stage, in rehearsal rooms, or in recording environments. The cable jacket and connectors are built to meet professional audio requirements for signal integrity and routine handling.

Advantages

The integrated 8 x XLR F to 8 x XLR M design reduces setup time and minimizes cable clutter compared with using eight separate microphone cables. Durable XLR connectors ensure reliable mechanical contact and consistent signal transmission. A single 3 m length provides a practical balance between reach and manageability for many live and studio routing scenarios, while the consolidated construction helps protect individual conductors and keeps channels organized.

Suitable for

• Connecting multiple microphones to a stage snake or patch bay
• Routing microphone signals from front-of-house to monitor or mixing locations
• Studio multitrack recording sessions requiring compact cable runs
• Rehearsal spaces and temporary live setups where fast assembly is needed

Key specifications

• Connector configuration: 8 XLR female to 8 XLR male
• Cable length: 3 meters
• Conductor type: shielded audio conductors (multi-pair loom)
• Connector type: standard 3-pin XLR balanced audio connectors
• Intended use: microphone and balanced line-level signal transmission

How to use

Plug the XLR female ends into microphone outputs or stage outlets and connect the XLR male ends to the inputs on your mixer, snake, or audio interface. Ensure connectors are fully seated and locked where applicable to prevent accidental disconnection. Route the cable harness to avoid sharp bends, pinching, or proximity to power cables that could introduce hum. Label or note channel positions during setup to maintain consistent signal mapping between sources and inputs.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, inspect connectors regularly for bent pins, secure strain relief, and clean contacts if corrosion appears. Avoid kinking the cable and coil it using an over-under method for storage. When running near mains power, maintain separation to reduce interference; consider using balanced XLR connections and proper gain staging on connected equipment to minimize noise.
