How to use

Place the main router in a central, elevated and unobstructed location (about 1 metre above the floor) with the device oriented for optimal ventilation. Power on the pre-paired units to form the Mesh automatically; connect the primary unit to your modem via the Ethernet WAN port and, if available, enable port aggregation for higher wired throughput. Use the Xiaomi Home or HyperOS Connect functions to configure network name, password and device priorities. For NFC-capable Android phones, tap the router’s NFC area to connect quickly without entering a password. Connect Xiaomi Bluetooth devices through the built-in Bluetooth gateway and manage smart home devices on the Xiaomi platform.

Recommendations

Do not place the router inside metal cabinets, enclosed boxes, shoe cabinets or behind large furniture. Avoid locations near microwave ovens, induction cookers, power supplies or other appliances that can cause interference. For best coverage, position the router near the centre of the house, elevated above the floor, and keep the antenna orientation vertical. Use additional satellite units (2‑pack or 3‑pack) to eliminate signal blind spots in larger or multi‑storey homes.
