Networking Cable Goobay 95493 Yellow 2m Cat6 S/FTP

The Goobay 95493 networking cable is a 2 m Cat6 S/FTP patch cable with RJ-45 connectors and gold-plated contacts. It supports data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. The yellow jacket allows easy identification when installing or maintaining home and small office networks.

Advantages

High-quality inner conductors and gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure reliable signal transmission and low contact resistance. The S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against crosstalk and external interference. A robust outer sheath increases mechanical durability while the 2 m length suits typical patching and device-to-switch connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, routers, switches and networked devices in home and small office environments
• Patching between wall outlets and network equipment
• Identifying and organizing network runs using color-coded cabling

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device and the other into the router, switch or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress to maintain signal integrity and prolong cable life.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources. Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for gigabit connections within typical home and small office installations; for longer runs beyond structured cabling limits, consider using in-wall rated cables or fiber solutions.
