Waste bin Hailo Öko trio Plus L 3x9L black – 3-compartment pedal bin

Waste bin Öko trio Plus L is a pedal-operated recycling bin with three removable inner containers, designed for convenient sorting of household waste. The rectangular steel body in black and the black plastic lid provide a compact, durable solution for kitchens and utility rooms. Each inner container has a capacity of 9 litres, giving a total capacity of 27 litres in a 43 x 47 x 34 cm frame.

Advantages

The bin features an internal pedal mechanism with an ergonomic wide black plastic pedal and a slow-closing lid for quiet operation. Three colour-coded removable plastic containers (green, brown, yellow) make waste separation simple and hygienic. The steel sheet body offers stability and a neat appearance while the lightweight inner buckets are easy to lift and empty.

Suitable for

• Household kitchens where waste separation is required
• Small apartment kitchens or utility rooms with limited floor space
• Offices or shared spaces needing a compact three-stream recycling solution

When it may not be suitable

This bin may not be appropriate for very large households or locations that produce high volumes of waste, since each inner container holds 9 litres. It is also not intended for outdoor use or for storing liquids or oversized waste items that would not fit into the 9-litre buckets.

Key specifications

• Overall dimensions: 43 x 47 x 34 cm
• Total capacity: 3 x 9 litres (27 litres total)
• Body material: steel sheet, black finish
• Lid and pedal material: plastic, black
• Inner containers: 3 removable plastic buckets, colour-coded (green, brown, yellow)
• Mechanism: internal pedal with slow-closing lid

How to use

Place the bin on a flat, stable surface. Step on the wide pedal to open the lid and deposit sorted waste into the appropriate colour-coded inner container. Remove individual inner buckets by lifting them out for emptying and cleaning. Close the lid gently; the slow-closing mechanism reduces noise and slamming.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure the 27-litre total capacity (3 x 9 L) meets your household or office needs
• Check available floor space to accommodate dimensions 43 x 47 x 34 cm
• Consider whether indoor use and separation into three streams suits your local recycling requirements

Recommendations

For best hygiene and longevity, line the inner containers with appropriately sized bin liners, empty regularly, and wipe the steel body and plastic lids with a mild detergent. Use the colour-coded buckets to follow local recycling rules and prevent cross-contamination of waste streams.
