The DIGITUS DN-19 16U-I-OD wall mounted rack is an IP55-rated outdoor network cabinet designed for industrial and exposed environments. Constructed from up to 2.0 mm sheet steel with a grey (RAL 7035) electrostatic powder coating, the cabinet provides protection against dust and water jets while accommodating 19" equipment on adjustable, galvanized profile rails. The unit measures 600 x 450 mm (width x depth) and supports typical network installations with a maximum load suitable for standard add-on equipment.

Advantages

The cabinet features a lockable pivot lever with a 3-point locking mechanism and an earthed steel front door with two welded U-shaped strengthening bars and a gasket system for improved sealing. Insulated PG cable glands and a filtered fan housing area in the roof provide controlled airflow while maintaining IP54-level protection for the fan intake. Profile rails are labeled in rack units readable from both directions and their depth is adjustable. Wall mounting is done with the supplied bracket and the cabinet can optionally be fitted with a plinth for free-standing use or fastened to poles using a separate fastening set.

How to use

Mount the cabinet on a suitable wall using the enclosed mounting bracket, ensuring secure fixation to a load-bearing surface. Install 19" equipment on the galvanized profile rails and adjust their depth as required, then route cables through the insulated PG glands. If a fan module is required, use the filtered roof area and the fan filter housing to maintain airflow while preserving the protection level. Lock the front door with the pivot lever and 3-point lock to maintain sealing and security.

Recommendations

Place the cabinet in locations where it is protected from extreme mechanical impact; regularly inspect door seals, cable glands and the fan filter assembly for wear or clogging to ensure continued IP55 performance. For free-standing installations, use a compatible plinth and for pole mounting, use the manufacturer’s fastening set.
