With a large 26.0-megapixel APS-C format Exmor R CMOS sensor, the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine, interchangeable lenses, an array of dedicated vlog settings, the ZV-E10 II offers advanced expressive freedom in a compact body that’s ideal for content creators on the go.

Exmor R™ CMOS sensor

The ZV-E10 II features Sony's most advanced sensor technology in an APS-C back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor. With 26.0-megapixel resolution, it allows high quality image capture with greater sensitivity and less noise, even in low light settings.

The latest BIONZ XR™ image processing engine

With up to eight times more real-time processing power, the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine delivers extraordinary detail and sharpness for both stills and movies. The standard ISO range extends from 100 to 32000, offering an ideal combination of high sensitivity with low noise. And, thanks to its high-speed readout, 5.6K oversampling compresses a vast amount of information into stunning 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) footage at up to 60p.

Create your vision in-camera

The Creative Look function makes it easy to create expressive moods for stills and movies right in the camera. 10 Creative Looks are provided as presets that can be used as they are or customised via a range of adjustable parameters. Try the My Image Style function for further expressive versatility. When shooting in the Intelligent Auto or Scene Selection mode, it allows the background bokeh, brightness, and colour tone to be easily adjusted via icons on the touch screen. This provides an intuitive way to adjust parameters to create expressive imagery without having to deal with technical details such as F stops, exposure compensation, or colour temperature.

Cinematic expression

Cinematic Vlog Setting provides an intuitive way to create cinematic vlog footage without having to deal with complex camera settings. By choosing an appropriate Look and Mood, anyone can create cinematic vlog footage that ideally matches the scene and their creative intent. Cinematic Vlog Setting includes "Looks" such as S-Cinetone™ that can enhance skin tones, "Moods" that can emphasise specific colours, and AF transition speed that determines how quickly autofocus will switch between subjects.

Interchangeable lenses to capture your vision

From the G Master™ series that blends breathtaking resolution with exquisite bokeh to the G Lens™ series with first-class image quality, the ZV-E10 II is compatible with a wide range of E-mount lenses from Sony. The ZV-E10 II lens kit comes with the versatile E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II.

Clear, beautiful skin tones

The colours and textures of human skin are ideally and consistently reproduced no matter the lighting and are independently optimised for still and movie shooting. Gradation rendering has also been refined for better looking skin tones and highlight roll-off in portraits. For further enhancement, the Soft Skin Effect de-emphasises wrinkles and blemishes on the subject's face while increasing clarity around the eyes and mouth for great-looking skin, alongside Face Priority AE, which automatically maintains optimum exposure for faces, even in backlit or dimly lit situations.

Easily capture fleeting expressions and scenes

Capture motion with new creative freedom using the S&Q modes. The ZV-E10 II offers up to 5x slow motion video, leveraging 120 fps capture for 24p playback and the high quality XAVC-S Full HD format. Time-lapse sequences can also be created in-camera and are particularly effective for capturing the movements of people, cities or clouds in time-compressed form. The exposure interval can be set from one second to 60 seconds, making it easy to compress slow action into impressive time-lapse sequences. When capturing still images, continuous shooting with the camera's electronic shutter is possible at up to 11 fps with full AF/AE tracking, making it possible to capture the most fleeting movements and expressions.

High-density 759-point focal plane phase-detection AF

The latest BIONZ XR image processing engine and optimised algorithms produce notably improved AF performance. A high-density array of 759 focal plane phase detection AF points covers almost the entire image area to ensure smooth, precise focus.

Stable handheld shooting

Active Mode electronic image stabilisation employs a precision gyroscope and advanced algorithm to accurately measure and compensate for camera shake, providing highly effective stabilisation without sacrificing mobility, even when shooting 4K. Standard, and Active stabilisation settings can be selected as needed via the menu. With compatible lenses, breathing compensation automatically compensates for minor angle-of-view shifts when the lens focus changes, delivering professional, distraction-free, rack focusing.

Intelligent 3-capsule microphone

An advanced 3-capsule microphone offers excellent pickup and noise reduction performance, making it easier than ever to record clear, high-quality audio. Select Auto or choose from Front, Rear, or All Directions settings to match a variety of recording situations and environments.

Enhanced audio for shooting and editing

The ZV-E10 II is supplied with a simple windscreen to significantly reduce noise when shooting in outdoor situations. For more versatile audio capture, digital audio interfaces are supported by the camera's Multi Interface (Ml) Shoe, enabling direct transfer of high-quality digital audio with minimal degradation to the camera from microphones, such as the optional ECM series.

4K 60p / 10-bit 4:2:2 All-Intra

The ZV-E10 II supports a range of recording formats including 10-bit 4:2:2 video and All-Intra compression at up to 4K 60p resolutions. For professional workflows, User LUT files can be imported to record the desired look directly in camera, enabling efficient and predictable post-production in software like Catalyst Browse, Catalyst Prepare / Plugin and Master Cut.

S-Log3 gamma for extra wide dynamic range

The wide dynamic range of S-Log3 recording can bring out the best in captured footage, allowing powerful post processing flexibility for truly refined movie imagery.

Touch operation for vertical, horizontal, or selfie shots

A vari-angle LCD monitor facilitates shooting from just about any angle. Swiping in from the left or right edge of the shooting display reveals touch icons that allow quick changes to the shooting mode and more. The function (Fn) menu can be displayed by swiping up on the monitor.

Vertical format supported

The layout of the shooting information shown on the display automatically switches to match horizontal or vertical orientations, seamlessly conforming to your needs in any situation.

C1 (Custom 1) and Background Defocus

The C1 (Custom 1) button can be assigned to a frequently used function for fast one touch access during shooting or playback. It is pre-set out of the box to Background Defocus, allowing you to easily and instantly increase the amount of background blur to emphasise a main subject. Press again to turn Bokeh off for clear, deep-focus shots when shooting cityscapes or scenery.

Product Showcase, custom functions buttons and easy transfers

The ZV-E10 II is designed for easy vlogging, with customisable buttons pre-set to functions like the Product Showcase mode. With this function activated, simply hold a product in front of the lens and the camera will smoothly switch focus to the product and back to your face when the product is moved away. Other frequently used functions can be assigned to the Fn (Function) menu for one-touch recall when needed. And once you’ve captured your footage, the Smartphone Transfer button in the playback mode enables fast, wireless, transfer of images to your smartphone and on to your favourite social networks with just a couple of quick taps.

Fast-access switches and controls

A convenient Stills/Movie/S&Q switch allows fast selection of the corresponding modes, while an ergonomic control dial can be used to adjust a range of camera parameters, such as shutter speed or aperture. The dial can also be used alongside the standard navigation buttons for quick selection inside the Fn and settings menus.

Live streaming and simple sharing

The ZV-E10 II supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi, making it ideal for wireless live streaming. The SuperSpeed USB 5 Gbps (USB 3.2) Type-C® port also allows high-speed wired transfer to a smartphone or PC for easy post-production and sharing on social media platforms.

Creators' Cloud

The Creators' Cloud platform supports creative work, from shooting to production, by combining advanced camera technology from Sony with cloud-based Al. It is also a place for discovery and collaboration with other creators around the world. Explore web, mobile, and PC-based apps that provide efficient solutions for integrating cameras with shooting and production apps and services.

High battery capacity for extended shooting

The ZV-E10 II uses a high-capacity NP-FZ100 battery, allowing continuous movie recording for up to 195 minutes per charge. Quick charging is possible when connected to a device that supports USB PD (Power Delivery). For live streaming (USB streaming), power can also be supplied from an external computer via a USB cable.

Compact, lightweight, easy-to-hold

The ZV-E10 II measures just 67.5 mm (2 3/4 inches) high by 114.8 mm (4 5/8 inches) wide by 54.2 mm (2 1/4 inches) deep with a body that weighs just 292 grams (approx. 10.3 oz) — a remarkable achievement for a camera that uses a high-capacity NP-FZ100 battery. Hold and feel are enhanced by a specially shaped and textured grip. An optional Shooting Grip with Wireless Remote Commander (GP-VPT2BT) includes zoom and shooting controls that are easy to use when shooting one-handed, and can also be used as a tripod, leaving both hands free for product reviews or shooting from a distance.

Comprehensive accessibility features

The Screen Reader function reads text menu screens aloud, even during movie playback. It can be simply activated from the menu, where volume and reading speed can also be set as required. The ZV-E10 II also comes equipped with a wide range of other accessibility features, including menu magnification and touch focus, tracking, and shutter release.

Sony's Road to Zero plan

Sony's Road to Zero environmental plan was launched in 2010 with the goal of achieving a zero environmental footprint. Our Green Management 2025 plan defines intermediate targets and progress on the way to the ultimate zero-footprint goal. Measures have been taken to reduce the environmental footprint of this product at every stage of its life cycle, from product development through supply chain, production, and packaging.

Recyclable non-plastic packaging materials

Sony is working towards the use of non-plastic packaging materials that provide ample protection against shock and impact. Plant-based nonwoven fabrics are used for product bags. All of this helps to minimise environmental stress.

The growing ZV series lineup

With the ZV-E10 II, the ZV series lineup has been expanded, making it easier to select the model that best suits your preferences.

Precise subject tracking with Real-time Eye AF

Real-time Eye AF recognises—with high precision—the faces and eyes of humans, as well as the eyes of animals and birds, for consistently accurate, reliable focus. Real-time Tracking ensures that focus is maintained on the subject as it moves around in the frame. Leave the focusing to the camera so you can concentrate on composition.

How to use

Mount the supplied E PZ 16-50mm lens on the ZV-E10 II and power the camera with a charged NP‑FZ100 battery. Use the vari-angle touchscreen to compose shots vertically or horizontally, and swipe to access quick touch icons and the Fn menu. Select Stills, Movie or S&Q via the dedicated switch. For most vlogging situations, choose Intelligent Auto or Cinematic Vlog Setting and adjust Look and Mood presets as needed. For advanced recording, set desired codec and frame rate (for example 4K 60p or 10-bit 4:2:2 All-Intra) and enable S-Log3 when wide dynamic range is required. Use Product Showcase or Background Defocus (C1 preset) for quick subject emphasis and rely on Real-time Eye AF for portrait tracking. For handheld shooting enable Active stabilization if required, and attach the windscreen or an external microphone to the Multi Interface Shoe for improved audio capture.

Recommendations

For best results in low light, combine the ZV-E10 II’s Exmor R sensor with a fast E-mount lens and set ISO as low as practical to minimise noise; enable Active stabilization for handheld 4K shooting and use the supplied windscreen or an external digital microphone for cleaner outdoor audio.
