The InLine® USB 3.2 Gen.2 AOC cable from the 3579xI series is the high-end solution for demanding AV, data and docking applications with variable use. The unique adaptive fibre architecture allows either the use of all four lanes for DisplayPort 2.1 or a combination of 2x DP + 2x USB 3.2 (10 Gbps), depending on requirements. This enables resolutions of up to 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz, or alternatively 4K@60Hz with simultaneous high-speed data transfer. Active optical transmission (AOC) also allows longer cable lengths to be used without any loss of quality or external power supply.

How to use

Connect one USB-C connector to the host device (laptop, docking station or compatible source) and the other USB-C connector to the target device such as a monitor, hub or peripheral. Ensure both devices support the required USB-C Alt Mode and power or data profiles for the intended use. For video, set the host’s display output to the connected monitor and adjust resolution and refresh rate as needed in the operating system display settings. No external power is normally required for the cable itself, but ensure the source provides sufficient power delivery when charging a device.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments free of sharp bends and excessive twisting to preserve optical integrity. For reliable 8K@60 Hz operation, verify that connected devices and graphics hardware support the required video modes.
