The EXSYS EX-1335HMV USB 2.0 to 1S Serial RS-422/485 adapter provides a single high-performance 16C550-type UART compatible RS-422/485 serial port in a compact metal enclosure. It offers 15 kV surge (ESD) protection and 2.5 kV optical isolation to protect connected equipment, supports USB 1.1 and 2.0 hosts, and includes a USB A‑male to B‑male cable (EX-K1552) that can be secured with screws to prevent accidental disconnection. How to use

Install the adapter by connecting it to an available USB port on the host using the supplied EX-K1552 cable and secure the B‑connector with its screws. The device is recognized as a COM port by the operating system; I/O addresses and interrupts are managed by the OS and system BIOS (interrupt sharing supported). Attach the RS-422/485 device to the 9‑pin connector or terminal block as required and configure serial parameters (data bits, stop bits, parity) in the host software.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, mount the adapter in a stable location and use shielded cabling where possible. When deploying in racks, use the optional EX-6099 DIN-rail kit or appropriate rack-mount hardware.
