The InLine® Gigabit Network Switch 5 Port (4x PoE+), 1xSFP, offers a fast network connection as well as PoE+ support on 4 of the 5 ports. The SFP port supports SFP modules with a bandwidth of 1.25 Gb/s. The 5x 10/100/1000Mb/s auto-negotiation RJ45 ports all support Auto MDI/MDIX.

The switch is an easy-to-use and powerful solution to upgrade your old network to a Gigabit network and to power PoE-enabled devices such as IP cameras, IP phones, access points, etc. via the connected patch cable.

How to use

Place the switch on a flat surface and connect the included power cable to a mains outlet. Connect network devices to the RJ45 ports using Cat5e or higher patch cables; PoE devices will receive power automatically on the four PoE+ ports. Use the SFP slot for fiber uplink by inserting a compatible 1.25 Gb/s SFP module. Select the desired operating mode (normal, VLAN isolation, or range extension) using the mode switch or button as indicated in the user manual.

Recommendations

For reliable PoE operation, ensure the combined power draw of all connected devices does not exceed the 65 W total budget. Use quality Ethernet cables (Cat5e or better) and compatible SFP modules. Install the switch in a ventilated area within the specified operating temperature range.
