Extralink Atlas is an outdoor Gigabit PoE switch designed to provide stable network connectivity in external environments. How to use

Mount the Extralink Atlas in a suitable outdoor location with adequate ventilation and secure grounding. Connect uplink(s) via the SFP ports to your backbone or router, then plug PoE-powered devices into the RJ-45 PoE ports. Configure device placement and cabling to respect the PoE budget (30W per port, 120W total). Use VLAN port isolation where required to restrict traffic between edge ports and allow communication only with uplinks. The PoE Auto-check feature runs automatically to monitor and restart unresponsive PoE devices.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cables and ensure the unit is installed with proper grounding and surge protection at the power source. Verify total PoE power consumption of connected devices to avoid exceeding the 120W budget, and place the switch where IP55 protection is sufficient—avoid full submersion or extremely corrosive environments.
