Twist drill bit Bosch 2 608 586 805 diameter 4 cm

The Bosch twist drill bit 2 608 586 805 with a diameter of 4 cm is designed for use with rotary hammers. Supplied as a single piece, this bit is intended for drilling larger holes where a robust, straight cutting edge and stable shaft are required. The construction supports precise drilling performance and is suitable for repeated use in demanding tasks.

Advantages

This twist drill bit offers solid rigidity and a cutting geometry that supports stable drilling in materials commonly encountered with rotary hammers. The single-piece design reduces the risk of component loosening and simplifies bit handling. The diameter of 4 cm provides a wide hole size for installations and anchor placements, while the overall design aims to maintain straightness and reduce walking during start-up.

Suitable for

• Drilling large-diameter holes for anchors and inserts
• Creating passage holes for pipes or conduits
• Work on concrete, masonry and similar building materials when used with compatible rotary hammers
• Situations requiring a single, robust bit for occasional heavy drilling tasks

Key specifications

• Type: twist drill bit for rotary hammers
• Diameter: 4 cm
• Quantity: single piece
• Compatibility: designed for rotary hammer tools (SDS or equivalent tool interfaces compatible with the bit)
• Application materials: concrete, masonry and similar substrates

How to use

Select a rotary hammer with an appropriate chuck or SDS interface that matches the bit. Secure the drill bit into the tool according to the rotary hammer manufacturer's instructions. Mark and position the drill point, start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then apply steady pressure and increase power as needed. Use periodic retraction to clear debris and avoid overheating the bit. After completing the hole, withdraw the bit while the tool is running slowly to clear remaining dust.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection, and follow the rotary hammer and drill bit safety guidance. For best results in reinforced concrete, pre-mark rebar locations or use a rebar detector to avoid contact. Maintain consistent feed pressure and avoid excessive side forces to prolong bit life.
