The KWB 407482 tubular rivet is an aluminium tubular rivet with a 4.8 mm tail diameter and 12 mm length, manufactured to DIN 7337. Supplied with a zinc-plated mandrel and designed for use with a compatible pop rivet gun (part no. 407200), this pack contains 50 rivets and is made in Germany.

How to use

Select a rivet of the correct diameter and length for the materials to be joined. Drill a hole matching the 4.8 mm rivet tail diameter, insert the tubular rivet through the parts, position the mandrel in the pop rivet gun and squeeze the tool to set the rivet until the mandrel snaps. Remove the spent mandrel and verify the rivet head has formed a secure joint.

Recommendations

For best results, use with the recommended KWB pop rivet gun (part no. 407200) or an equivalent tool rated for 4.8 mm aluminium tubular rivets; ensure hole alignment and material thickness are appropriate for a 12 mm rivet length.
