The Braun Photo Technik Black800 5K surveillance camera records photos and videos up to 5K resolution and is designed for monitoring hunting areas, properties and remote sites. It stores recordings on a microSD card (up to 512 GB) and can be connected to a PC or TV via USB-C. The camera offers an integrated 2.0" TFT color display for setting photo and video resolution and for reviewing captured media on-site. Built for outdoor use, the unit has an IP66 splash- and dust-resistant housing and is available with a mounting strap and bracket for flexible installation.

Advantages

The Black800 5K supports video resolutions from 5K down to 1080p at up to 120 fps and selectable photo resolutions between 48 MP and 5 MP. It features a PIR motion sensor with three sensitivity levels, a 90° detection angle, up to 20 m trigger distance and a trigger time of approximately 0.6 s. How to use

Insert a compatible microSD card (max. 512 GB) and install six AA batteries or connect a 9 V / 1 A adapter. Use the 2.0" TFT display to select photo and video resolutions, set PIR sensitivity and enable features such as time-lapse, loop recording or password protection. Mount the camera using the supplied strap or bracket at the chosen location, ensuring the sensor has a clear detection zone within the recommended 90° field of view. For reviewing or transferring files, connect the camera to a PC or TV via the USB-C port or remove the microSD card and use a card reader.

Recommendations

Place the camera at a height and angle that minimises false triggers from vegetation; test PIR sensitivity and trigger distance on-site. For long-term deployment use fresh alkaline or lithium AA batteries and a high-quality microSD card rated for continuous video recording. Disable loop recording if you need to retain all files until manual retrieval.
