The Braun Scouting Cam Black800 WiFi is an 8 megapixel trail camera with WiFi that records color photos and video by day and infrared images at night. It is intended for wildlife monitoring and remote scene checks; with the free app you can connect a smartphone or tablet to the camera via P2P WiFi (only within the camera's range) to view images, change settings and get a live view for alignment. The camera is housed in a compact, weatherproof enclosure that meets IP66 and can be mounted on a tree or tripod; a strap and tree mount are included.

Advantages

How to use

Install up to eight AA batteries and insert a compatible microSD card (max 32 GB, formatted FAT32). Mount the camera using the supplied tree strap or mount, or on a tripod, and aim the lens toward the area to be monitored. Use the built-in 2.0" display to check framing and review images. To connect a smartphone or tablet, enable the camera's WiFi via the supplied remote control and pair the device with the camera's P2P network using the free app; once connected you can view live image, browse recordings and change settings without removing the camera. Configure PIR sensitivity, trigger intervals and recording mode (photo, video or time-lapse) according to your needs.

Recommendations

Position the camera approximately at animal chest height for best detection, avoid pointing directly into strong sunlight, and test PIR sensitivity and angle using the live view to reduce false triggers. Remove the camera periodically to check battery level and memory usage; use fresh alkaline or lithium AA batteries for longer standby and operating times.
