Networking Cable Telegärtner L80400A0007 0.5m Cat6a S/FTP Green

The Telegärtner L80400A0007 0.5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-performance Ethernet connections. Constructed to Cat6a standards with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ‑45 connectors on both ends, the cable supports reliable data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference in dense cabling environments. The cable's green jacket makes it easy to identify in patch panels and structured cabling installations while providing the electrical and mechanical characteristics expected from Category 6a cabling.

Advantages

The cable's S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. At 0.5 metres length, it delivers minimal attenuation for short link requirements and reduces cable clutter in racks and workstations. Standard RJ‑45 terminations ensure compatibility with common network equipment, and the green colour facilitates visual organisation of network runs.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches and patch panels
• Connecting network devices in server racks and data enclosures
• High-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over short distances
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 0.5 m
• Colour: Green
• Application: Ethernet, including 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short runs

How to use

Plug the RJ‑45 connectors into the appropriate ports on your networking equipment, such as switches, patch panels or NICs, ensuring a secure click to confirm proper seating. Use the 0.5 m cable for short-distance connections where minimal excess cable is desired, routing the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain. Verify link status on connected devices after installation to confirm correct operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep the cable away from high-power electrical lines and avoid tight bundling that can deform the cable or compromise shielding. Use the green colour to label or separate specific circuits in your rack or cabinet, and select this Cat6a S/FTP cable when you need improved protection against interference for short 10 Gbps-capable links.
