Switch MikroTik netPower 15FR

The MikroTik netPower 15FR is a fast Ethernet outdoor switch designed to simplify fiber-to-the-home deployments by replacing GPON base stations and optical splitters. As part of the GPEN concept, it combines fiber networking speed with Ethernet convenience to provide a low-cost way for ISPs to deliver Internet to individual apartments. The unit offers two SFP ports for fiber links and a weatherproof outdoor enclosure suitable for locations such as attics, elevator shafts and pole mounts.

Advantages

netPower 15FR includes 15 reverse PoE ports so the switch can draw power from connected devices, reducing the need for local power sources in attics or utility rooms. An additional Ethernet port provides PoE-out to power an uplink device or a powered client such as a Wireless Wire Dish or a security camera. How to use

Install the netPower 15FR in a suitable outdoor or semi-protected location using hose clamps or other mounting hardware. Connect fiber uplinks to the SFP ports and subscriber Ethernet connections to the RJ-45 ports. Provide a DC power source within the supported 18–57 V range when available, or rely on reverse PoE by allowing the switch to draw power from one or more connected client devices. Use the PoE-out port to power an uplink device or a powered peripheral.
