The iStorage diskAshur M2 PIN 1 TB is a hardware-encrypted portable SSD with USB Type-A and Type-C connectivity. How to use

Authenticate the diskAshur M2 by entering your 7–15 digit User PIN on the onboard keypad, then connect the drive to a host via the included USB Type-C or Type-A cable to use it like a normal portable SSD. No software installation is required. If the User forgets their PIN, the Admin PIN or the one-time recovery PIN (if configured by the administrator) can be used to unlock the device and allow the User to set a new PIN. The Admin may also set PIN complexity rules such as minimum length and required special characters.

Recommendations

Use the Admin PIN to pre-provision drives for distribution, enable read-only mode for immutable content where needed, and store recovery PINs securely. Regularly back up important data and follow organisational policies for PIN management and physical security.
