The unit is plug-and-play with macOS, Windows and many tablets, and supports built-in encryption on host systems for password-protected volumes. Its small form factor and included adapter cable make it immediately usable with a wide range of computers and mobile devices.

How to use

Connect the Envoy Pro Elektron to a host computer using the included USB-C cable or the tethered Type-A adapter. The device is recognized as external storage and is ready for file transfer, backup or media editing without additional drivers on most systems. For encrypted volumes, enable the host operating system’s built-in disk encryption tools and set a password according to the OS instructions. To remove the device, use the host system’s safe-eject or unmount procedure before disconnecting the cable.

Recommendations

For best sustained performance, connect directly to a USB-C port that supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 / 10 Gbit/s or a Thunderbolt 3/4 port. Avoid using long passive adapters or hubs that may reduce bandwidth. Keep firmware and host OS updates current to ensure compatibility, and regularly back up important data to a second location.
