The DeLOCK 42025 grey SSD enclosure accepts one M.2 PCIe NVMe 2280 SSD and connects to a PC or laptop via Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C. It supports USB 40 Gbps (USB4 Gen 4) connectivity and uses a USB Type-C connector. The enclosure is made of aluminium and metal and is designed for hot-swapping of M.2 drives.

How to use

Open the enclosure following the manufacturer's instructions, insert an M.2 PCIe NVMe 2280 SSD into the M.2 slot and secure it using the tool-free mechanism. Connect the enclosure to a compatible host using a USB Type-C cable to a USB4/Thunderbolt 3/Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C port. Use the fan switch to enable or disable active cooling as needed. The LED indicators and side light bar will show connection and interface status.

Recommendations

For maximum performance connect the enclosure to a USB4/Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port. If using a USB Gen 2x2 host, expect transfer rates limited to 10 Gbps due to the controller. Keep ventilation unobstructed when the fan is enabled and follow safe handling procedures when hot-swapping drives.
