Sleeping bag Outwell Contour Junior rectangular polyester 170 cm x 70 cm, red

The Outwell Contour Junior children rectangular sleeping bag is a compact, polyester sleeping bag designed for kids. With a length of 1700 mm and a width of 700 mm at its widest point, it offers a cosy sleeping area for summer family trips. The sleeping bag has a bright red outer, grey inner lining and an integrated pillow for easier packing and comfort. An internal pocket provides a place for small personal items or snacks.

Advantages

This junior model retains the key features of adult Outwell Contour bags but in a smaller size suited to children. The polyester construction is soft to the touch and offers lightweight warmth appropriate for warmer nights. The built-in pillow simplifies packing and reduces the need to carry an extra cushion, while the inner pocket adds convenient storage for small items.

Suitable for

• Summer family camping and caravan trips
• Sleepovers and indoor naps for children
• Outdoor activities in mild weather

When it may not be suitable

This sleeping bag is designed for warmer conditions and summer use; it may not provide adequate insulation for cold-weather camping or high-altitude trips. Taller children who exceed the 1700 mm length may find it too short and should consider a larger model.

Key specifications

• Material: polyester outer and inner
• Length: 1700 mm
• Width (maximum): 700 mm
• Packed weight: approximately 1.1 kg
• Colour: red outer, grey inner with bright blue contrast on some trims

How to use

Unroll the sleeping bag and lay it flat inside a tent or on a mattress. Tuck the integrated pillow into place at the head end for support. Use the internal pocket to keep small items secure during the night. To pack, fold or roll the bag tightly and secure it in its carry package for transport.

What to consider before purchase

• Child’s height — ensure 1700 mm length is sufficient
• Intended season — suitable mainly for warm-weather use
• Material preference — polyester is lightweight and easy to care for

Recommendations

Use the Outwell Contour Junior on warm nights and in sheltered camping locations. For additional warmth on cooler evenings, pair the sleeping bag with an insulating sleeping mat or an extra liner.
