Sleeping bag Outwell 230478 semi-rectangular polyester 2250×850 mm, 1.8 kg, blue

The Outwell Campion Lux is a semi-rectangular adult sleeping bag designed to provide extra warmth for camping in cooler conditions. Constructed with a double layer of insulation, breathable polyester shell fabric and a removable built-in pillow, it balances comfort and thermal performance while remaining lightweight for easy transport.

Advantages

The double insulation increases thermal protection compared with a single-layer bag, making the Campion Lux suitable for late spring, early autumn or northern summer trips. The breathable fabric helps regulate moisture and body heat while the soft lining improves comfort. A small internal pocket keeps essentials like a phone or torch close at hand, and the removable pillow adds convenience without needing separate accessories.

Suitable for

• Car camping and campsite stays in cool to mild conditions
• Weekend trips in late spring or early autumn
• Summer camping in northern or higher-altitude locations
• Campers who value added insulation and simple packing

When it may not be suitable

This sleeping bag is intended for cool to mild temperatures rather than extreme cold; it may not provide sufficient insulation for winter camping or sub-zero conditions. Users requiring very compact, ultralight gear for backpacking should consider lighter, more compressible options.

Key specifications

• Shape: Semi-rectangular
• Length: 2250 mm
• Width (shoulder): 850 mm
• Weight: 1.8 kg
• Shell and lining material: Polyester
• Insulation: Two-layer construction for extra warmth

How to use

Unpack and fully unzip the sleeping bag before first use to allow any compressed insulation to loft. Use the removable pillow for head support or detach it if you prefer a separate pillow. Store small items in the internal pocket during sleep. After use, air the bag thoroughly before packing it into its storage bag; for longer-term storage keep it loosely stored to preserve loft and insulation performance.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended season and typical nighttime temperatures
• Required length and shoulder width for personal comfort
• Weight and packability relative to your transport method
• Preference for built-in pillow and internal pocket features

Recommendations

Use with an insulating sleeping mat to improve thermal performance; ventilate the bag during warm nights to manage moisture and extend comfort range.
