The Fischer GKM 12 is a self-tapping metal fixing designed for fastening into gypsum plasterboard and gypsum fibreboard. Supplied complete with a countersunk chipboard screw, the metal anchor is suitable for pre-positioned installation and allows secure attachment of lights, electrical installations and interior accessories. For single-layer plasterboard no pre-drilling is required; for gypsum fibreboard and double-layer plasterboard a Ø 8 mm drill is recommended.

How to use

For single-layer gypsum plasterboard: position the fixing and screw it in manually or with a cordless screwdriver until the anchor sits flush with the board. No pre-drilling is required. For gypsum fibreboard or double-layer plasterboard: pre-drill a hole with an Ø 8 mm drill, then insert the metal fixing and fasten with the supplied countersunk chipboard screw until secure. Ensure the anchor is correctly aligned and tightened without over-torquing.

Recommendations

Check the load requirements and base material before installation. Use the appropriate drill for pre-drilling in fibreboard or double-planked boards and avoid overtightening the chipboard screw to preserve holding capacity.
