Scarpa Instinct VS Black Climbing Shoes - EU 44

The Instinct VS stands apart from typical aggressive climbing shoes by pairing a precise, high-tension toe with a surprisingly comfortable medium-stiff flex. Built for steep boulders and technical sport routes, it delivers the sensitivity of a performance slipper with the convenience of a single Velcro strap.

Highlights

• Bi-Tension active rand directs power to the big toe for unmatched precision on micro-edges.
• Vibram XS Edge 3.5 mm sole offers excellent grip and durability on both rock and plastic.
• Single hook-and-loop strap allows quick on/off between attempts without sacrificing heel tension.
• Moderately downturned, asymmetric FZ last positions the foot for aggressive pulling and toe hooks.
• Unlined microfiber upper conforms to the foot over time, minimizing stretch and maximizing breathability.

In daily use

From overhanging limestone pockets to indoor comp-style volumes, the Instinct VS shines when you need to stand on tiny footholds and pull hard with your toes. The tensioned heel rand keeps the shoe securely in place during heel hooks, while the Flexan 1.0 mm midsole provides just enough support for all-day sessions without deadening feel. The black and orange colorway is both bold and functional, hiding chalk and dirt between resoles.
