EXR 156 Kathrein Grey

The Kathrein EXR 156 Grey is a compact multi-switch distribution amplifier for combined terrestrial and satellite TV distribution. It covers a frequency range of 47–862 MHz for terrestrial signals and 950–2150 MHz for satellite signals, provides one terrestrial input, four satellite outputs and six sub-outputs, and uses F-type RF connectors. The unit includes an integrated 18 V / 550 mA power supply and has low internal power consumption of 25 mA.

How to use

Install the EXR 156 in a dry, ventilated location and connect the terrestrial antenna to the terrestrial input and satellite dish LNB(s) to the satellite inputs using F-type connectors. Connect the unit to mains power (198–253 V AC) so the integrated PSU can provide 18 V / 550 mA to satellite outputs. Distribute the outputs to receivers or tuners via coaxial cables terminated with F-connectors. Verify signal levels at each output and adjust downstream amplification if required.
