Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Problem with an order right now? Write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] — answered the same business day. The letter also lists our group and store owners' contacts.

8/10

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 remains a good vessel for the new Wear OS, but the changes between it and the Galaxy Watch 4 are so small that this isn't one to rush to upgrade to. If you're an Android phone owner looking for a smartwatch that actually behaves...

  • Some good fitness tracking elements
Cons

“If you've used a Galaxy Watch 4 in the past, operations on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will feel very familiar. Because of the similarities between the 4 and the 5, those upgrading from the Galaxy Watch 3 or older will enjoy the differences, with the 5…”

“So far, 2022 has been a year of iterative updates for much of Samsung's portfolio, and the Galaxy Watch 5 is perhaps the best example of that. Looking at the Galaxy Watch 5 and its predecessor side by side, it's difficult to tell what's different.”

Pros
  • Lightweight, comfortable design
  • Robust health tracking
  • AMOLED screen looks excellent
  • Easy access to Google apps
  • Very fast charging speeds
Cons
  • Skin temperature tracking not yet available
  • Falls short of battery life claims

“Moving from Tizen to WearOS in Watch 4 only compounded this position, to the exclusion of iPhone users - but as we said of the 2021…”

Pros
  • Great display
  • Sapphire crystal protection
  • Loads of functions
  • Plenty of customisation options
Cons
  • Design is a little safe
  • Overshadowed by the Watch 5 Pro
  • Doesn't work with iPhone

“Samsung's mid-year Unpacked event just dropped a string of new mobile hardware, fronted by a pair of new foldables in the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, the new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and a new line of wearables in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro.”
