Salomon Genesis Trail Running Shoes Men's Fiery Red/Lava Falls/Black EU 47

The Salomon Genesis is built for runners who demand precision and protection on technical trails without sacrificing speed. Unlike typical trail shoes that rely on heavy overlays, the Genesis uses a Matryx® woven upper with aramid fibers to deliver a locked-down fit that remains breathable and fast-drying. The result is a shoe that feels light on the foot yet shrugs off rocks, roots, and mud with confidence.

Highlights

• Matryx® upper: abrasion-resistant woven aramid fiber for durability and support
• Energy Foam™ midsole: responsive EVA and Olefin blend for long-lasting cushioning
• Energy Blade™ TPU plate: propulsive feel and protection from sharp trail debris
• All Terrain Contagrip® outsole with 4.5 mm lugs: reliable grip on mixed and technical terrain
• Quicklace™ system: one-pull tightening for a secure, personalized fit
• Molded OrthoLite® sockliner: step-in comfort and moisture management
• Protective toe cap and mudguard: extra defense against trail hazards

In daily use

On rolling singletrack or rocky descents, the Genesis feels stable and agile. The 8 mm drop and moderate stack height (34 mm heel / 26 mm forefoot) strike a balance between ground feel and protection, while the neutral support and standard fit accommodate a wide range of foot shapes. Runners will appreciate the secure heel hold and the way the Energy Blade™ plate smooths out the transition from landing to toe-off, making longer efforts less fatiguing.
