Salomon Alphaglide GTX Trail Running Shoes - Black

The Salomon Alphaglide GTX redefines expectations for a waterproof trail shoe by pairing maximum cushioning with a surprisingly agile ride. Unlike many plush shoes that feel sluggish on technical terrain, the Alphaglide GTX uses Energy Foam and an 8 mm drop to deliver both comfort and responsiveness. The GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry through puddles and rain, while the All Terrain Contagrip® outsole grips confidently on mixed surfaces. This is a shoe for runners who want long-distance protection without sacrificing trail feel.

Highlights

• GORE-TEX waterproof membrane for all-weather protection
• Energy Foam midsole for maximum cushioning and energy return
• All Terrain Contagrip® outsole with 5 mm lugs for reliable traction
• 8 mm drop and neutral support for a natural stride
• Durable textile and synthetic upper with standard fit

In daily use

On the trail, the Alphaglide GTX feels stable and protective. The high stack height (33.5 mm heel, 25.5 mm forefoot) absorbs impact on rocky descents, while the GORE-TEX lining keeps your feet dry without overheating in moderate conditions. The regular lacing system allows a secure, personalized fit, and the padded collar adds comfort on long runs. Whether you're tackling technical singletrack or logging daily training miles, this shoe provides the cushioning and grip you need to stay confident.
